At LitJoy, we are dedicated to cultivating community and connection through stories, and one of our favorite ways to do that is by creating beautiful special edition books that capture the readers' imaginations. We have the privilege of collaborating with some of the most talented artists in the industry to bring these stories to life for our readers, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that one such artist, Nik Henderson, has won a Merit Award at the 3x3 International Illustration Awards for his outstanding work on our special edition of The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

Meet Nik Henderson

Nik Henderson bio pic—award-winning LitJoy artist

Nik Henderson is a children’s book illustrator and occasional visual development artist. He studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art & Design, and has worked for clients such as Pixar, HarperCollins, and Abrams. When not drawing, he can be found collecting antiques, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and plane spotting.
