Introducing the LitJoy Book Club on Fable

At LitJoy, reading has always been about more than finishing a book.

It’s about slowing down. Creating ritual. Letting stories live with you long after you turn the final page.

This year, we’re bringing that philosophy to life in a new way with the launch of the LitJoy Book Club on Fable: a shared reading experience centered on reader care, intentional pacing, and meaningful connection.

A Book Club Designed Around Reader Care

The LitJoy Book Club is built for readers who want to savor stories, not rush through them. Together, we’ll read one thoughtfully chosen book, supported by gentle milestones, open discussions, and cozy ritual prompts designed to make reading feel nourishing rather than overwhelming.

This is not about keeping up.

It’s about reading with intention and care.

Inside the club, you can expect:

  • One book selection every 6-8 weeks

  • A flexible reading pace with milestone check-ins

  • Guided discussions at natural pause points

  • Cozy reading rituals and reflection prompts

  • A warm, welcoming community of fellow readers

Whether you read every page alongside us or dip in when it feels right, this space is designed to meet you where you are.

Our First Book Pick

For our first book pick, we’re reading The Book Swap by Tessa Bickers.

This cozy, bookish romance explores connection, chance encounters, and the quiet magic of stories passed from one reader to another. It’s a story that feels perfectly suited for cold weather reading. It’s warm, reflective, and deeply rooted in the love of books themselves.

We chose this title because it embodies everything LitJoy values in a seasonal read: emotional resonance, comfort, and a sense of shared experience that lingers.

What’s Next?

Reading officially begins January 19, with discussions held at three key moments:

  • January 26: Early chapters and first impressions

  • February 23: Mid-book themes, emotions, and character development

  • March 30: Final reflections, favorites, and community wrap-up

Between discussions, members will find light weekly prompts, ritual ideas, and optional check-ins designed to keep the experience engaging without feeling demanding.

Reading Rituals and Community Moments

To make the club feel unmistakably LitJoy, we’ll be weaving in our signature Reading Rituals along the way. This may include seasonal prompts, journaling reflections, cozy pairing ideas, and opportunities to share reading setups, favorite quotes, and moments from your reading life.

The LitJoy Book Club is a place to connect not just with a story, but with other readers who love books deeply.

Join the LitJoy Book Club on the Fable app

The LitJoy Book Club is hosted on Fable and is open to all readers. You can join at any time and participate at your own pace.

If you’ve been craving a slower, more intentional way to read, one rooted in care, ritual, and connection, we would love to have you with us.

This is reading as ritual. And we can’t wait to read alongside you.
