Some readers like to wait and see. Others have the product page open before a drop goes live, hoping the edition they've been dreaming about is still there when they click. If you're a To Bee Read subscriber, early access gives you a head start: you can place your order on new LitJoy product drops 24 hours before they open to everyone else. Less refreshing, less worrying, and a much better chance of getting the edition you want before it sells out.

Now that early access is part of your TBR subscription, here's exactly how it works, so you always know where you stand.

Early access comes with your box

Early access is your first-in-line window to shop new drops 24 hours before the general public, and it's tied to the boxes you receive. Each time your TBR box charges, or the day you first subscribe, early access turns on and stays on until your next renewal date. When your next box charges, it carries right on into the next quarter.

  • Your box charges: early access is on until your next renewal date
  • Your next box charges: early access continues for another quarter
  • You keep receiving boxes: early access never skips a beat

What happens when you skip a box

Skipping is always an option. Some quarters are busy, and some quarters the books just aren't for you. That's okay.

Because early access travels with your boxes, a skipped box means early access pauses for that quarter. It isn't gone. The moment your next box charges, early access turns right back on and runs until the renewal after that.

In short: having a subscription opens the door, and each box you receive keeps it open.

If you've skipped your November box

If your November box is currently set to skip and you'd like to keep early access this quarter, you can unskip it from your account.

  • By October 24: unskip and you can still choose your book and add-ons.
  • By November 1: unskip and we'll surprise you with one of this quarter's books.

Unskipping depends on availability. If the November box sells out while it's skipped, we may not be able to add it back.

If you'd rather skip this one, you don't need to do anything. Your early access will be waiting when your February box charges.
