Interior Art reveal
We are so excited to reveal more of the magical world of Stardust by Neil Gaiman. There are more than 25 illustrations inside the book, one of our most illustrated books yet!
We are so excited about how Montse Rubio (@montserubioart) captured our favorite characters in this book. In this in-text illustration, Tristran and Yvaine are climbing up the ladder to the ship in the sky. The details in this illustration, from the clothing to the wrap on Yvaine's ankle, make it such a magical piece of this new edition.
This scene is one that makes us laugh! We can't give away all the cleverness of this scene and how it's used in the book, but we can say that you are going to love it! Each brother looks a little ghostly, but also very unique. Can you pick out Primus or Tertius? What about Septimus? You are going to "die" of delight when you see these on the page of the book.
In the book, Tristran is given the Babylon Candle by a "small hairy person" and he first uses it to transport to where the star fell. This tip-in shows him as he's wading through the clouds, the candle in hand, the glass snowdrop in his pocket, and determination in his gaze.
Montse has a way with capturing people and this tip-in shows her incredible talent! We love how she's given us a closeup of the main characters looking towards the night sky. And, of course, we had to include the majestic Stormhold Castle in the distance, a captivating element that adds a touch of wonder to this already magical scene.
