To Bee Read Subscription Questions

• How do renewals work?

  When you subscribe to LitJoy you will be charged immediately for the subscription model you have chosen. Once your subscription cycle has ended, you will be automatically re-billed for the same cycle model until you decide to switch to a different plan or cancel your subscription.

  For example: a To Bee Read annual subscriptions purchased on February 15th will renew again on February 1st the following year.

  To Bee Read Renewal Schedule:

  • February 1st

  • May 1st

  • August 1st

  • November 1st

  *Renewals always take place on the first of the month and can not be moved to a later date.

• What if I'm interested in a previous box? Can I purchase those?

  Our subscriptions are not available as a past box. Some items will be available in our shop at a later date or as an add-on to a future box.

• How are the customization levels set up?

  Book Choice Level

  • All subscribers get to choose from 1 of the 2 book titles.

  Choice Level 1

  • Standard subscribers get to choose one option from this level

  Choice Level 2

  • Standard subscribers get to choose one option from this level

  Choice Level 3

  • Standard subscribers get to choose one option from this level

  Secret Items Level

  • Includes 2 secret items automatically. No customization is needed.

  • Standard and Deluxe get both items in this level.

  Deluxe- get ALL items from Choice Levels 1-3. Only the book choice needs to be customized.

• Is there early access to customization week?

  Yes. All renewing subscribers that received the previous book box get early access to customization week.

• How much is shipping?

  Shipping rates are determined by carriers and are subject to change with carrier policies and price fluctuations.

  International orders: Customs, duties, and import taxes are collected for any orders shipping to Great Britain based on current regulations. All other international countries, LitJoy does not collect taxes. Your order may be subject to additional fees upon delivery, determined by your country. International shipping reflect current international shipping rates.

  Domestic shipments have a set shipping price based on if you get a book, standard, or deluxe box.

  International subscriptions will have varied shipping price depending on current carrier rates.

• What does customization look like for a Deluxe Box?

  With the Deluxe box you have the opportunity to customize your book choice and you will automatically receive every item from each tier, so no selections need to be made for tier 1-3.

  Deluxe boxes do not have the option to opt for points instead of items in the tiers.

• What age range are subscriptions appropriate for?

  We offer Young Adult and Adult special edition signed books from a variety of different genres, including, fantasy, romance, fairytale, contemporary, science fiction, dystopian, mystery, thriller, and more! 🐝 Each quarter you can customize your box and choose which book is best suited for you or for someone you are gifting to.

  Items in the Standard and Deluxe box represent general bookish or well-known Young Adult and Adult novels.

• If I forget to customize my box, what will happen? And when will I know what I'll get?

  Don't worry! We will choose some fun items for you!

• Can I apply a coupon code for my box and another for my add-ons?

  You are able to apply a discount to your subscription before renewals.

  Once you have redeemed our code, you can apply it by:

  1. Click TBR Subscriptions on the left menu

  2. Click Edit

  3. Scroll to the bottom to see info about your Next Charge, and Apply Your Discount Code.

• If I don't want an item from a certain level, can I choose two items from a different level?

  No. Selecting products can only occur with the choice levels presented during customization week.

• I customized my box, but now I want to change my choice.

  During customization week, existing subscribers can change their choices as much as you like (so long as there is inventory).

  After customization week closes, you must email help@litjoycrate.com for customization assistance.

• I had a charge error but updated it later, does that affect my customization choices?

  The customizations you selected will still apply when you have successfully resolved the charge error within 7 days after renewals. After 7 days subscriptions are canceled and a new subscription must be purchased if you still wish to subscribe to a box.

• Can I skip or un-skip my To Bee Read Subscription?

  You can skip your upcoming subscription up until your renewal has processed. An annual subscription can not be skipped for the boxes that have been pre-paid.

  If your subscription type has not sold out, you may request to un-skip by emailing help@litjoycrate.com at least 24 hours before the renewal charge.

  If you un-skip after the customization period has ended, we will surprise you with our picks from each Choice Level.

• I can’t remember what I selected, is there a way to see?

  Yes, you can see your selections by going to your customer portal page under TBR Subscriptions.

• How much is a To Bee Read Subscription?

  Quarterly:

  • Book Only $22.99

  • Standard $46.99

  • Deluxe $66.99

  Prepaid Annual:

  • Book Only $86.96 (save $5)

  • Standard $182.96 (save $5)

  • Deluxe $262.96 (save $5)

• How does customization work?

  New Subscriber- I checked out but I didn’t get to customize anything in my box

  • You can come back during customization week and select your book and or items. 

  • If you checkout after customization, you will be able to customize at that time.

  • If you don’t click “confirm” after you select your customizations it does not save to your account and any previous saved customizations or the default selections will apply.
